  • Piston Clearances

I'm hoping someone can help me out here! None of the manuals I've looked at actually specify the piston to head and piston to valve clearances!

I found an old post on here that listed .050 intake and .080 exhaust for minimum PTV
    But what is PTH clearance?

    Thanks!

Stock PTH can vary a lot.
Last month a stock vstrom(same engine) was measured and the PTH was 1,15mm front and 1,2mm rear.

The minimum safe PTH varies a lot and had to do with rod strength, piston weight,revlimit...
