  • 2nd Gen Kill Switch Ignition diagram (?)

Do we have one? I saw a thread with a diagram that was a bit fuzzy and could not read the text.

I just need to bypass the ignition and make the kill switch so all the work on a 2nd Gen.

This is how you remove the terminals from the fuse/relay block Dan:
        http://forum.svrider.com/showthread.php?t=148000

Remove the yellow & orange/black terminals and re-insert the orange/black in the previously occupied yellow slot.
Then join the Yellow/Blue to Black/Red as described.

I didn't even think about pulling the pins, that would of been much cleaner. I cut and soldered them.

Works great! thanks for the help.

Re: 2nd Gen Kill Switch Ignition diagram (?)

I think im going to add a master switch. Didnt like worrying about hitting the kill switch after loading and draining the battery on the drive there.

Why not just drill a hole and run a clip w/ teather thru it in the off position ?

This is what I did and then safety wired to my resi mount so I wouldn't lose it.

Had that. Forgot the clip once, drained battery. Fail.

Shit, I bought a 16AMP switch. Wonder if that will work since I don't have any lights???

Re: 2nd Gen Kill Switch Ignition diagram (?)

Well, I hooked it up. Bridged the three wires together, used the 100 OHM 1/2 Watt resistor in there and did a decent job soldering I think.

Got it to turn the ignition over. Need to create a bridge from the triple strand to the other side of the switch to get the LED light working. I'll do that tomorrow. Kinda cool to have an "on" indicator. Granted it would also have the gauges on. Need to figure out a decent way to mount it and then to wrap the wires up.

Hope this works and doesnt short out while riding or something. Blah..

Gonna do this next weekend. I have a bunch of 10K ohm 1/4 watt resistors I used for my pair valve removal. Can I use one of these?
